          Useful Information

          Food

When travelling at high elevations, like on the hike to Kyanjin Ri (4773 m), or when participating in physically demanding activities, like trekking, your body will need nutritious, high-carb meals. As a result, our four-day Langtang Trek itinerary takes into account your needs by providing three healthy meals each day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

You can select from the menu, but be aware that there may not be as many options as you would like because of the remote location.

Nonetheless, there are many different food options, such as Dal Bhat Tarkari, fried rice, pizza, thukpa, MoMo, chow mein, noodle dishes, porridges, and vegetable and garlic soups.

Trekkers are also reminded that other food items, such as tea, coffee, cold drinks, and snacks, are extra costs in addition to the three daily meals.

          Accommodation

This quick trek to Langtang takes you to Nepal's remote and mountainous Himalayan region. The three-night stay in the Langtang region includes lodging in comfortable teahouses and lodges with standard amenities. The stay includes rooms for twin and triple sharing.

In addition to the package price, there are extra costs for basic facilities like hot showers, Wi-Fi, charging, and hot water. It is challenging to locate upscale amenities in the Langtang Valley trek due to its remote location.

          Difficulty

The Langtang Valley trek is one of Nepal's most picturesque treks because it offers 360-degree panoramic views of the Langtang range and surrounding mountains. Not only that, but this 4-day short Langtang trip is a moderately difficult hike that can be done by hikers of all abilities.

The short Langtang adventure is less taxing than other lengthy treks, and it frees up your time for other activities.

This Langtang trek requires 45 to 50 km of walking, so while no prior trekking experience is necessary, you will need a lot of endurance because you will be hiking a lot over the course of the four days.

          Packing list

One of the most crucial things to think about before starting any Himalayan adventure, such as the trip to the Langtang Region, is creating a packing list.

For the trek, the trekkers must pack the essentials. In Thamel, Kathmandu, you can purchase or rent equipment, or you can bring it from home beforehand.

          Travel Insurance

Before starting your daring journey to the far-flung region of Nepal, you must have the appropriate travel insurance. At the highest trek altitude, emergency helicopter evacuation must be covered by the insurance.

We advise making sure your insurance covers unanticipated medical costs when engaging in adventurous activities like trekking.

          Permits

Two permits are required for the short Langtang hike: the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card, which costs NPR 2000, and the Langtang National Park Entry Permit, which costs NPR 3000.

Note: Trekkers don't have to worry about permits because our Langtang Trek 4 Days package includes coverage for all of them.

          Tipping Culture in Nepal

Although it is not required, tipping is strongly advised as a thank you for the assistance your guides and porters have given you during your Langtang Trek in Nepal. Tipping should normally be at least 10% of the trip's total cost. If you truly enjoyed the service, you can tip more than the minimum required for the trip.

          Porters & Guides

The Langtang Short Trek requires a guide. One experienced guide is provided by Mount Glory Treks for a group of eight people. If there are more than eight people in your group, we will provide an additional assistant guide to make your trip easier.

Although porters are not included in the short trek package, we can add a porter if you would like to travel with one for an additional fee. One porter can carry up to 25 kg of luggage.
