Langtang Valley Trek is a short and favourite 4-day trip located close to Kathmandu city in the central Himalayas. This trek goes across the elevation of Kyanjin Ri (4783m), which is the highest elevation of the trek.

Where is Langtang Valley Located?
Langtang Valley is located at 28.250°N 85.500°E, just 80 km away from Kathmandu, Nepal. It lies in Rasuwa District, bordering Tibet in the North and the Famous tourist destination Syabrubesi in the South. It extends east to west along Langtang National Park, and it is dominated by Langtang Lirung Mountain. Bhote Koshi River at the west end of the valley is very famous for its beauty, and the terrace farm of the Langtang region is fertilized by it. Langtang Valley is also a getaway to Dhunche, which joins the very famous Kerung border to Tibet. There are many famous areas along with Langtang. Many Himalayan villages like Kyanjin Village, Lama Hotel, etc, are famous among travelers.

Locals of the Langtang Region
While you are on the 4 Days of Langtang Valley Trek, you will meet many locals on the way. Most of these people belong to the same Ethnic community that is “Tamang”.Nepal is a multi-lingual, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-traditional country, so different people have different traditions and ethnicities. Tamangs of Langtang Region are very friendly and helpful, and always smiling for their visitors. These are the laborious groups of people who have small eyes, small flat noses, and are comparatively shorter in height, and have red-brown faces.
Most of the people in this region follow Buddhism and are found in monks' Uniforms. They are strong supporters of peace, prosperity, and freedom. As the Langtang Region is near Tibet, the culture of this area is influenced by Tibetan culture. Sonam Lhosar, Buddha Purnima, Udhauli, Uvauli, etc, are the major festivals of these people; however, they also celebrate Dahsain and Tihar with great joy and energy. Among these, Sonam Lhosar is a major festival of Tamangs, which is celebrated in the months of February to March, and it is the New Year of Tamangs. Their major Song is Tamang Cello, and their major Musical instrument is Damphu. The Cello song represents Joy, Sorrow, Satire, and Humor, and the Damphu produced the rhythmic beat in the Cello song.
Kyanjin Gompa
Kyanjin Gompa is 3860m high above sea level and is the most beautiful village in the Langtang Region. This village is famous for Yak Cheese and Kyanjin Gompa Monastery. Langtang National Park
Langtang National Park is a major attraction of the 4 Days Langtang Trek, besides Kyanjin Gompa. It was established in 1976 and spread over an area of 1710km, while the protected area has a Buffer Zone of more than 400 sq km. This National park is famous for the Himalayan Species of Flora and Fauna. Some of the protected flora and fauna of this region include Red Panda, Himalayan Goat, Snow Leopard, Peafowl, Lophophorus, Yaks, Mules, pine trees, bamboo, etc.
