Lobuche Peak Climbing combined with the Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek is the ultimate Himalayan adventure, offering a glorious mix of the classic trekking expedition to the base of the world’s highest mountain with the technical challenge of climbing a 6,119-meter-altitude trekking peak. This is a fantastic mixture of cultural experiences and spectacular scenery, added with the pride of achievement itself.

Trekkers coming along this route find ancient monasteries and busy local markets, and view the special mountain lifestyle common in Khumbu. Special views of Mounts Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest can be seen from cutting-edge luxury hotels every day. Before, you could fly to Lukla from Kathmandu, continue by plane to Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche, walk through rhododendron forests, and eventually reach the more alpine places. Trekkers on this trail are allowed to rest at certain points along the way so their bodies can acclimate well and they learn to respect being at high altitudes. Extended forced restoration stops occur at such key points in the itinerary.

Everest Base Camp is one of the famous icons and milestones in the expedition, witnessing firsthand close-up views of the Khumbu Icefall and feeling almost physically stepping in on behalf of those legendary climbers. Kala Patthar is the next reward for the adventurers, along with a splendid sunrise view over Mount Everest. The climb up Lobuche East begins after you have finished the EBC trek. Lobuche is a challenging expedition because it depends on basic mountaineering skills like using crampons, ropes, and ice axes. Most climbers, despite their camps at base and high altitudes, will begin their push to the top at dawn.

The climb is demanding; however, anyone with adequate fitness and commitment will successfully summit Lobuche East. The summit provides one of the most stunning views in the Himalayas; you will be at, or near, the combination of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and the massive expanse of the Khumbu Glacier. Completing the Lobuche Peak climb is not only a powerful sense of accomplishment but also one of your treasured and lasting memories of conquering one of Nepal's most fulfilling alpine challenges.

Fewer People Hike This Peak

Because Lobuche Peak is less crowded than Island Peak, it gives mountaineers a quieter and more personal experience.

How to prepare Lobuche Peak climbing with the EBC Trek?

Physical Fitness Training
Endurance training should be done 2-3 months prior. Focus on cardiovascular (running, hiking, cycling), strength (especially legs and core), and flexibility training to build your endurance.

Altitude Acclimatization
Ensure your itinerary has enough acclimatization days. Recommend prior trekking experience at high altitude.

Essential Mountaineering Skills
Learning to use crampons (and practicing walking on ice), an ice axe, a harness, and ropes is beneficial. A basic mountaineering course or pre-trip training helps.

Gear Preparation
Mountaineering boots, a down jacket (puffy/bulky), a sleeping bag (-20°C), a headlamp, gloves, and personal climbing gear. We can help you rent equipment and/or clothing in Kathmandu if needed.

Mental Preparation
Be ready for cold, long days and demanding climbs. Stay positive in mental attitude and mental strength, especially on summit day.

Travel & Insurance
Purchase travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking and climbing. Confirm that you have secured permits, e.g., the Lobuche Peak Climbing Permit and the TIMS card.

How hard is climbing Lobuche Peak with the EBC Trek?

While Lobuche East Peak Climbing (6,119 meters / 20,070 feet) in Nepal is considered a moderate trekking peak, climbing it does require an element of fitness, mental fortitude, and technical experience in mountaineering. The trail to Lobuche Base Camp follows the traditional trekking route of an Everest base camp trek; however, getting to the peak from High Camp involves being technically able to climb steep ice and snow slopes that will have sections of fixed rope, ice axes, climbing harnesses, crampon techniques, etc.

In addition, the final summit ridge can be narrow and exposed to the high winds and cold. The climb itself is non-technical in relation to the large Himalayan expeditions, yet it is going to be much more of a challenge than a standard trekking peak such as Island Peak due to the sustained steep angles and high altitude. It is recommended that climbers have previous experience in high-altitude trekking as well as some climbing experience, and climbers need to be well acclimatized and will need to have support from qualified professional guides during the ascent in order to safely and confidently reach the summit.

Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek Cost for 2025 & 2026

The cost of climbing Lobuche Peak generally ranges from $2,000 to $ 2,800 per person, depending on the season, group size, and position of service. This price generally includes all essential rudiments for a successful passage, analogous to climbing permits, round-trip domestic flights between Kathmandu and Lukla, accommodation in teahouses and tents, refreshments throughout the trip, professional attendants and janitors, and participatory climbing outfits. These comprehensive packages are designed to offer safety, comfort, and a well-organized high-altitude experience.

For example, some agencies offer comprehensive packages around $2,200, which include field transfers, permits, refractions, lodgment, and domestic transportation. Still, there are fresh costs to consider. Particular climbing gear, similar to drills, crampons, and sleeping bags, can add $450 to $500 to your charges. Trip insurance covering high-altitude trekking and implicit helicopter evacuation is pivotal and generally costs between $100 and $200.

Also, rovers are anticipated to pay a refundable scrap deposit of $500, and tipping attendants and janitors is customary, generally amounting to 10–15% of the total trip cost.

It's also judicious to budget for redundant reflections, particular charges, and any unlooked- for costs to ensure a comfortable and well-set passage.

Itinerary

The adventure begins on Day 1 with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, 2,830 meters, a thrilling 30-nanosecond trip offering spectacular upstanding views of the Himalayas. Lukla is the gateway to the Everest region, and upon arrival at the mountain heliport, the trip officially commences.

The trail heads north through antique Sherpa townlets, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and passing main monuments and prayer flags that reflect the region’s rich Buddhist culture.

The journey on this first day is fairly easy and serves as a good warm-up, with a gentle descent and occasional sudden climbs. The trail winds through pine timber and spreads until you reach the village of Phakding (around 2,610 meters) after roughly 3 to 4 hours of walking.

Phakding is a peaceful seaside village with tea houses and lodges where you’ll spend the night, enjoying your first evening in the Khumbu region and preparing for the further grueling days ahead.

Day 2 is a beautiful hike from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m), the gateway to the Everest region. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and crosses suspension bridges similar to the Hillary Bridge and occurs in townlets similar to Tok Tok, Benkar, and Monjo, where each group will check in at Sagarmatha National Park.

After checking in, we head out on a grade marked by multitudinous switchbacks in a beautiful timber of pine and rhododendron timber as the first views of Mount Everest appear!

After a long day of 6-7 hours of touring, we reach Namche Bazaar, a lively Sherpa city with plenty of comfortable places to relax and adapt.

This day is a designated rest day in Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), a bustling Sherpa city nestled in a natural theater girdled by majestic Himalayan peaks. While it’s a rest day in name, light exertion is largely recommended to prop up adaptation. A special highlight is a short hike to Hotel Everest View (3,880 m) that offers panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The short trek acclimatizes the body to thinner air by acclimatizing it to higher altitudes, with later descent an essential altitude adaptation principle.

Beyond hiking, Namche itself offers plenty to explore. Head to the Sherpa Culture Museum or the Sagarmatha National Park Visitor Center to gain insight into the native heritage and soil. Stroll along the cobblestone streets of the town, lined with bakeries, gear shops, and cafes, a fascinating mix of tradition and backpacker culture. It is also a good time to rest, dry out, and observe for any indication of altitude sickness. Proper adaptation, then, is essential for the days ahead as the trail continues to higher elevations.

Day 4 takes you on a scenic journey from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery (3,867 m), one of the most spiritual and graphic stops on the route. The trail begins with a fairly easy walk along a winding path with inconceivable views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku. You’ll descend to the Dudh Koshi River at Phunki Tenga, where you can rest and have lunch near the sluice.

After the break, the trail climbs steadily through rhododendron and pine timbers to reach Tengboche, home to the largest and most notorious friary in the Khumbu region. However, you can attend a prayer form inside the friary if time allows. Girdled by dramatic mountain views, Tengboche is a peaceful and spiritually rich position, making it a memorable stop on the trip to Everest.

On Day 5 of the journey, you leave the serene village of Tengboche and begin your trip toward Dingboche. The trail descends through a timber of rhododendrons to Debuche before crossing the rushing Imja Khola on a suspension bridge.

You also begin a steady ascent, passing through the graphic village of Pangboche, where pedestrians frequently break to respect the ancient friary and snack on a warm mess. Trekking gives incredible views of a wider and more wild landscape in addition to the skyline dominated by tall peaks like Island Peak, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

The high-altitude circumstances are reflected in the increasingly dry terrain and thinner air as you get closer to Dingboche.

Dingboche itself is a peaceful village set in a broad vale, girdled by gravestone-walled fields that cover crops from the wind and yaks. Although the day's journey is physically taxing due to the height rise, the breathtaking sights and the feeling of isolation close to Everest make it incredibly fulfilling. Since the altitude is crucial for adaptation at 4,410 meters (14,470 feet), the rovers spend a day or two in this agreement to get used to it.

Day 6 is dedicated to acclimatization in Dingboche, an essential part of high-altitude trekking to help your body acclimate to the thinning air. Although it’s called a “ rest day,” it generally involves a short hike to an advanced elevation followed by a return to sleep at the same altitude. This fashion helps with altitude sickness. The 5,083-meter Nangkartshang Peak, which has sweeping vistas of Makalu, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, is a well-liked acclimatization trek. The hike is grueling but worthwhile, furnishing both excellent decor and a good boost to your adaptation process.

Back in Dingboche, the autumn is spent relaxing, hydrating, and enjoying the quiet, extensive beauty of the valley. Girdled by towering Himalayan peaks and gravestone-walled ranges, it’s a peaceful place to recharge. Numerous pedestrians take this time to do laundry, journal, or converse with fellow comers in the original teahouses. Proper rest, nutrition, and hydration on this day are pivotal for the success of the journey in the coming days as you lift toward Lobuche and ultimately Everest Base Camp.

On this day, you will leave Dingboche and begin to ascend to Lobuche, a resting point on your path to Everest Base Camp. The trail starts with a gradual rise through a wide alpine hollow before narrowing as you approach Dughla (Thukla), a small agreement where rovers constantly stop for a rest and refreshments. From there, the path becomes steeper as you climb the Thukla Pass, a grueling section marked by monuments devoted to rovers who lost their lives on Everest. It's an emotive and depressing area that makes travelers aware of the Himalayas & dangers as much as their beauty.

The trail graciously positions itself as you proceed down the Khumbu Glacier's side moraine, which is surrounded by majestic peaks like Nuptse and Pumori, once you cross the pass.
The air is noticeably thinner, and each step feels more demanding, making it important to pace yourself and stay well-dressed. You’ll arrive in Lobuche (approx. 4,940 meters/16,210 feet) by autumn.

The agreement is a cluster of lodges feeding to pedestrians, nestled in a stark, rocky geography. With Base Camp now within reach, the excitement builds, but so does the need for caution as the altitude continues to rise.

Day Eight in the whole trek is perhaps one of the most anticipated and rewarding days, for at the end of this day, the marvelous Everest Base Camp is seen. The day starts with a tough walk from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, a second-last glacial village before Base Camp.

The path lies along the rocky moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, with Pumori and Nuptse acting as snow-capped orienting points. It is a demanding walk because the altitude rises, and the trail is stony, so maintaining a steady and gradual pace is necessary. After a brief tea break in Gorak Shep, the final hike to Everest Base Camp starts (5,364 m).

After having a short tea break in Gorak Shep, you continue with the final hike up to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). While the terrain is rocky and follows a glacier, it finally leads you to the famous place awash with prayer flags and climbers' gear. Though you can't technically see Everest from the Base Camp, of course, standing at the feet of the world's highest mountain awfully fills your heart with emotion and leaves you with great memories.

After stunning shots and swallowing a few moments, return to Gorak Shep along the same way for dinner. It is a long and tiring day, but reaching the Base Camp makes all the tiredness worthwhile.

Day 9 involves leaving at an early hour to hike to Kala Patthar, the highest elevation on the trek and a prime view for Mount Everest. You will set off pre-dawn to hike from Gorak Shep and will start off on a steep, rocky path through the change (cold air in the morning.

As dawn breaks, you will be rewarded with an awe-inspiring panoramic view of all 360 degrees of beauty: Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and more. This view is considered the eye candy of the trek because from Kala Patthar you will achieve a close-up unobscured view of the Everest summit, something you will not get at Everest Base Camp.

Once you hike back down to Gorak Shep and have breakfast, you will hike down to Lobuche Base Camp, retracing the same path until we head off to the base of Lobuche East.

The trek will feel more remote as we walk further away from the Everest trail. You'll arrive at Lobuche Base Camp (4,865 m), a rough, picturesque area at the foot of the Lobuche peaks (Lobuche East at 6,119 m and Lobuche West at 6,145 m), where climbers will ready themselves for eventually summiting. This day is very strenuous, yet equally fulfilling, marrying the success of the breathtaking views from Kala Patthar along with approaching your first real mountaineering from a more technical perspective.

On day 10, you will start your journey toward Lobuche High Camp, the last step for you to make on your way to Lobuche East summit. Today will start by taking you slowly and steadily up a gradual ascent from Lobuche Base Camp as you navigate your way across rocky and often icy terrain. As we gain elevation, the trail will become more technical, requiring crampons and perhaps ropes (depending on the season and conditions).

The views from the trail will be incredible as you pass famous peaks such as Cholatse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku, while also taking in the far-reaching view over the Khumbu Glacier far below.

Once you reach High Camp shortly after 5600 m, you will set up a remote and exposed campsite on a rocky platform below the climbing route. At High Camp, you will rest the remainder of the afternoon, then hydrate and prepare your gear for your early morning summit push.

Typically, guides will provide a final briefing on climbing techniques, safety, and the schedule for summit day. Conditions being so cold at altitude, your priority will be to keep warm, rest, and eat well as you prepare for your early alpine start the following morning. The previous night is generally short and restless as climbers prepare for the next day's summit attempt.

Day 11 will be the most demanding yet exhilarating day of this adventure the summit day the day we will make an attempt to summit Lobuche East! The climb begins in the dark early in the morning we may often leave the lodge around 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM and walk with headlamps among the stars. You'll also have the technical gear for your summit attempt crampons, harnesses, and ropes.

There will be sections of the route with steep snow and ice we will use fixed ropes for your safety in these sections, depending on how bad Lobuche is with ice. The final ridge to the summit is exposed and demanding. But once you reach the summit at 6,119m, the views are nothing short of spectacular. Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Makalu, and the endless mountains of the Himalayas sit all around you in every direction.

After a brief moment of celebration at the summit, you will make the careful descent back down and return to High Camp, then all the way back down to Base Camp for a rest and packing.

The journey continues, as you will continue down from Base Camp to Thukla (4,620 m), retracing your steps past memorials to the fallen climbers.

This can be a very long and tiring day, and you will certainly earn the favor of the ache and pain your body will experience. It will be a day of your endurance and determination, but also accomplishments attained. You can expect that a hot meal and a deserved rest await you in Thukla after a full day of climbing and trekking.

Day 12 is here! After another long summit day (you are getting used to these now) is a long journey but well worthwhile, as we will be trekking from Thukla all the way back to the busy district town of Namche Bazaar. From Thukla to Namche, we will retrace our steps to Pheriche and Pangboche and still enjoy the gradual ups and downs of trekking through the Imja Khola valley.

We will continue to enjoy beautiful alpine settings with rhododendron forests, lovely Sherpa villages, our steady ascents to higher elevations, and snapshot views of the peaks.

The stroll back to Namche would seem easier because the air is thinner, and it will feel easier to breathe, which will give you more energy for a long day of walking. When we depart Thukla, we will trek through Tengboche (12,687 ft.) so we can have a short break and maybe pay a visit to the Monastery. Then we will proceed trekking back to Namche Bazar (11,286 ft.).

After days of remote and rugged trekking, Namche Bazaar will be like a smorgasbord of delights. We can take Hot showers, eat & real food again, catch up with trekkers you may have started the trek with, and who knows, might even have time for a good local beer or two, reminiscing about your wonderful trekker's accomplishments to date and all that you have seen.

On the final day of trekking, you depart Namche and start the trek down to Lukla, the starting point of the previous two weeks. The trail steeply descends and winds its way through pine and rhododendron forest and high suspension bridges over the river Dudh Koshi, along with the usual villages on the trail! Monjo, Phakding, and Benkar have much more of a chilled-out vibe. With the hard work lying in the past, you've hiked the flesh off your boots; it is just so pleasant to be on the downhill slope, knowing you are nearing the end of the trek. While the majority of the descent is downward, the trek remains tiring purely due to distance and an overburdened sense of fatigue.

As you approach Lukla (2860m), there somehow seems to be mixed emotions of relief, pride, and a somewhat melancholy reflection mixed with little bits of joy. Once you arrive at your destination, you will find the lodge where you spent your last night before departure from the Khumbu.

There will almost certainly be lots of trekkers this evening celebrating having completed their trek together, eating a meal together, sharing stories, and thanking their guides or porters for making the trek possible. An occasion to be thankful for the experience of a lifetime in this fabulous part of the Himalayas.

Day 14 will have you flying from Lukla to Kathmandu early this morning, concluding your amazing journey through the Himalayan mountains. The flight time is around 30 to 35 minutes, depending on loading arrivals, but you will also have one last view of the amazing mountain range you have passed through, which includes glimpses of Everest, Nuptse, and several other peaks if the weather is favorable. The flights from Lukla are weather and wind-dependent, and so the wise choice is to make the flight in the morning to avoid any delays due to afternoon winds.

You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will then be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax in comfort! The rest of the day is free for you to do as you wish, you earned it.

You can relax and enjoy your freedom, take a warm shower, and treat yourself to a meal out in the city. You can visit Thamel and do some shopping or relax in appreciation of the trek. It is also a good time to relax and process the previous day's physical and mental efforts. It will be an easy transition out of the wild Himalayas and back to city living on Day 14.

Best time to do Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

Although Lobuche Peak can be climbed many times throughout the year, the best times to attempt to climb it will be during the pre-monsoon (spring) season (approximately March 1st to May 31st) and post-monsoon (autumn) season (approximately mid-to-late September to November). Because during these periods, the weather conditions are usually the most stable, giving you the best chance and luck for the climbing, and clear skies. Spring has the mildest temperatures, and it's the best time for the mountain vegetation with the blooming rhododendrons, while autumn has the cool, dry air and great visibility with colder and more stable weather.

Spring and autumn are the settled weather periods and will have the least amount of snow, rain, avalanches, and storms compared to the summer monsoon and winter. When you can choose one of these best available windows, you are improving your overall safety and experience on the mountain with awe-inspiring panoramas of Everest and the surrounding Himalayan region.

Food and Meals during Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

While trekking and climbing Lobuche Peak, the food and meal options before Base Camp are provided in teahouses and lodges along the way. The food will then transition to expedition-style meals afterwards at High Camp and beyond. At the teahouses, trekkers are assured of a range of elaborate, warm, carbohydrate-based meals for energy when trekking in high altitudes. Meals will most often be rice & lentil soup with some veggies (dal bhat) and noodles, plus other carbohydrate-based meals, such as pasta, fried rice, potatoes, and soups, along with various breakfasts of eggs, pancakes, or porridge, and tea or coffee.

While food is basic and far from gourmet, it tends to be filling and uses local fresh ingredients. As with any high-altitude trekking, it is best to avoid meat of any kind at the higher altitudes, as it usually has not been prepared properly for extreme conditions. Once trekkers reach Base Camp and High Camp, meals for the most part will be organized and prepared all at the instigation of either the expedition cook or rented staff, and meals usually consist mainly of dehydrated food, soups, and lots of snacks, which contain the energy required for high-altitude performance. With a busy schedule of trekking uphill and turning at high altitudes, the food you eat and hydration are essential as part of the whole acclimatization process and endurance; staying fed and hydrated during the trekking and climbing is essential.

Accommodation for Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

Depending on where you are along the Lobuche Peak trek and climb, you will either be sleeping in comfortable teahouses or basic alpine-style camping. After the trek is over and you arrive at Lobuche, you will return to camping at an extremely high altitude. While trekking the Everest Base Camp Trail, you will be staying in tea houses or maybe lodges, all of which are operated and run by their local families or communities.

Trekkers are provided basic accommodation in the teahouse, simply a room with twin beds along with shared toilet facilities, and generally a shared dining area. Once the trek starts, you will find that the teahouses provide limited but basic accommodation that includes a removable blanket, reasonable meals, and a few teahouses may provide hot showers (additional cost) and Wi-Fi (additional cost).

Beyond the teahouse, there is often limited or no accommodation, especially in Gorak Shep and Lobuche. Once you arrive at the Lobuche Base Camp and Lobuche High Camp, you shift for sleep to a tent camp organized by your climbing team or expedition operator. At base camp and high camp, you will sleep in insulated mountaineering tents.

Depending on the logistics of your trek, your team or expedition operator will provide separate kitchens and dining spaces. Although a basic setup, you will find your accommodations insulated for warmth and safety and purposely organized for operating in extreme high altitude for a true Himalayan expedition experience, including camping.

Permit During Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

Arranging permits is a requirement when finishing the Lobuche Climb and EBC (Everest Base Camp) trekking route. The Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit must be obtained for trekking within the national park, which is conserved and can be issued either in Kathmandu or Monjo.

The Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit needs to be acquired instead of the old TIMS card by any trekker in the Khumbu area; this permit is available around Lukla or Monjo. The climbing permit for Lobuche Peak is something you will need to acquire on the way up from the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). The permit is seasonally charged: highest in spring (March–May), moderately in autumn (September–November), and lowest in winter and summer.

Permits must be carried on your person and displayed at numerous checkpoints along the route. These are most easily bought through a licensed trekking agency, especially the climbing permit, which occasionally requires details of your guide and itinerary.

Dates & Availability for Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

Lobuche Peak climbing is generally done in Nepal's climbing seasons of spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). These two seasons offer the best weather conditions and the least amount of variability in conditions. There is usually pretty stable weather, with clear skies for most of the climbing. All trekking across the region is best done during these two seasons, and a lot of trekkers will be climbing the peak during the same weather conditions.

There are trekking companies that have regular departure dates in spring and autumn that offer a package with a departure date. Many climbers choose to climb during these two seasons, and also because climbing is so popular, you should try to plan your booking far in advance when climbing during peak seasons. However, if you can schedule your trip differently and are flexible, most operators will offer custom or private departure dates on request.

Travel Insurance for Lobuche East Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

Travel insurance is mandatory for any trip involving Lobuche Peak climbing with the Everest Base Camp trek. Travel insurance must include coverage for high-altitude trekking and high- altitude climbing to elevations of 6119 metres. As a reminder, travel insurance must include coverage for rescue, medical coverage, trip cancellation, and repatriation.

The travel insurance policy you choose must specifically state that it includes mountaineering activity and climbing. Remember to take a copy of your insurance policy with you when you leave for the trek.

Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek Difficulty

While Lobuche East Peak (6,119 meters / 20,070 feet) in Nepal is considered a moderate trekking peak, climbing it does require an element of fitness, mental fortitude, and technical experience in mountaineering.

Altitude Sickness During Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), or altitude sickness, is an unfortunate risk that comes with trekking and climbing at high altitudes, like Lobuche Peak (5000m). Altitude sickness is the result of a loss of oxygen uptake at max altitude or high altitude (where oxygen pressures are lower). Symptoms range from mild to severe—you may have a mild to moderate headache or slight dizziness, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, or sleep problems.

The best way to manage and perhaps prevent altitude sickness is to have a gradual ascent profile using a carefully organized acclimatization day program, hydration (lots and lots of water), no alcohol or smoking, a healthy high-calorie diet, walking at a steady pace, and a medical record to follow for treatment or acclimatization. For some trekkers, all of this makes no difference; the symptoms may worsen. If this happens to you or a member of your group, the best treatment is to descend to a lower elevation without delay.

Guides and porters during Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek

On Lobuche Peak Climbing, you will be led by expert guides and porters who will make sure you are safe, supported, and successful. Guides are trained and experienced high-altitude trekking guides, trained in mountaineering as well as trained in first aid, because the guides will be guiding you on the trek, helping manage your altitude sickness, and assisting in managing your own climbing gear in preparation for the summit push. A porter's function is to carry your bulkier gear so you can trek without a heavy bag for a lighter, faster, and more enjoyable trek, and so you can save your energy for the summit climb.

The local expertise, reliability, and positive presence of the guides and porters can enhance your trekking adventure. Many professional companies take social responsibility seriously and they have principles to try to ensure the welfare of the guides and porters, the environment, and the local communities when undertaking a trek. Provide ethical treatment, adequate wages and payment options, and insurance for the guides and porters.
