Itinerary

Our trek starts with a picturesque view drive to Ghandruk, stunning Gurung Valley provides incredible views of Annapurna south and Machhapuchre. From Ghandruk, we will hike through lush forests, dense rhododendron forests, and terraced fields to Chhomrong, the gateway to the Annapurna base camp trek, Chhomrong itself is a sprawling hillside valley where we will meet traditional Gurung village as settle into our today accommodations.

    The trek from Chhomrong to Dovan takes through dense rhododendrons, alpine, and bamboo forests, crossing the Modi Khola River with suspension bridges. After approximately 5 to 6 hours of trek, we will cross the tranquil forest of bamboo, and we ascend to the ancient villages such as Sinuwa and Dovan. There we will explore the peaceful beauty of the area as the route, and spend this night.

      After having breakfast at Dovan, we will start our journey from Deurali. During the trail, we will climb through the lush forest of pines, oaks, and rhododendrons. After a few hours’ trek, we will pass by the Hinco-cave and reach Deurali. Upon reaching Deurali, we can take a short break and enjoy this beautiful scenery.

        Today is the highlight of the journey as we reach the Annapurna base camp 4230m via the Machhapuchre base camp. From Deurali, we ascent from the rocky path, and alpine landscapes, and reach Machhapuchre base camp, we explore majestic views of surrounding peaks. Gradually, the route offers the stunning scene of the Annapurna sanctuary, at 4130 m we are awarded an amazing 360-degree vista of the towering peak of Annapurna base camp.

          Today is our important day of the Annapurna base camp 6 6-day trek. Early morning we explore the Annapurna Mountain, and we descend through Machhapuchare base camp and Deurali with stunning views. As we ascend the dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo forests, we reach Bamboo Village.

            Last day trek of the Annapurna base camp trek 6-day itinerary, we start the journey from bamboo to Jhinu Dada. Firstly, we ascend a few hours of trek to Sinuwa the Chhomrong River, cross through the suspension bridge, and arrive at Jhinu Dada. After some time rest, we continue to have a jeep ride back to Pokhara, with all the marvelous views of the terraced hills and pearly landscapes. After a few hour's drive, we finished our journey in the Pokhara.

              For the Annapurna Base C amp 6 Days Trek, you need Two Different  permits:

              Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS): TIMS is a mandatory permit system in Nepal for hikers that helps ensure the safety and security of trekkers while providing valuable information to authorities. The cost of this permit is 2000 per person in Nepali currency.

              Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): This permit is issued by the Annapurna Conservation Area Project to preserve the natural environment and support sustainable tourism. The cost of this permit is 3000 per person in Nepali currency.

              Travel Tips

              Difficulty of the Trek

              • Since there are no acclimatization days, you must take extra care against altitude sickness, walk slowly, and drink plenty of water.
              • On the remote route of Annapurna, you will be waking for 7 to 8 hours a day. So, the trekkers should have basic fitness, and the ability to walk for long hours each day for a few months.
              • The route passes through a variety of terrains, including steep uphill sections, rocky paths, stone steps, and dense forests.
              • At higher altitudes, Unpredictable weather, with high temperatures can strike any time of the winter months.

              Distance

              The Annapurna base camp 6-day trek typically distances approximately 50 to 80 kilometers from Pokhara. Additionally, the drive takes 44 kilometers from Pokhara to Nayapul, while trekking takes about 35 kilometers from Nayapul to the Annapurna base camp.

              Altitude Sickness

              Altitude sickness is a common condition that can occur when trekking to high altitudes of around 4130 m. The symptoms of altitude sickness may include headache, dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea, and loss of appetite.
