Itinerary

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara.

Through the busiest highway, Prithivi Highway, make your way through the classic winding road of Nepal. Following the Trishuli River, enjoy the view of some concrete and traditional houses with some glimpses of the Himalayan peak.

Nestled amidst the Annapurna mountain range, Pokhara offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, including the signature Mt.Machhapuchere, serene lakes, and lush greenery. It is a place to be for every adventure seeker for paragliding, trekking, and boating, while its relaxed atmosphere and vibrant lakeside make it a popular tourist destination.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in to the hotel, where the remaining day is at leisure, or walk around the lakeside on your own.

After breakfast, drive to Kimche to commence your trek. Through the pitched blacktop road, you reach Napayul. From Nayapul, the drive to Kinche is a bit rough on a dirt road with some potholes along with some views of traditional homes and terrace farms along the Modi Khola.

The trail to Gandurk is uphill through the lush rhododendron forest. On the stone-paved path, proceed uphill, with the view of Mt Himculi and Mt Annapurna South. Once you reach Ghandruk village, the picturesque village welcomes you with Mt Machapuchare in the background.

Ghandruk is one of the largest Gurung villages, home to the fierce and loyal Gurkha soldiers in both the British and Indian armies. The village also has a Gurung Culture Museum, where you can see the way of life of the Gurung people and even try on the local dress.

After breakfast, make your way to a relatively easy and narrow path through lush vegetation and small villages. On the way, you will meet the junction that divides the trail into two, one leading to Kommorong, the Annapurna Base Camp trail, and the other to Tadapani.

Taking your route to Tadapani, the trail then starts to ascend through a rock-paved path to the vintage point offering the view of Mt Annapurna South, Mt Himchuli, Mt Ganga Purna, Mt Annapurna III, and Mt Machapuchare. Walk along the lush rhododendron forest trail with a waterfall on the way. The path during spring is truly amazing with rhododendron flowers blooming all around.

The trail continues uphill once you cross a small bridge leading to Bayeli Kharka.

After breakfast, keep following the forest trail that leads you to Tadapani. With the view of the Annapurna range to your right, you will walk into the deep forests of Oaks. The trail descends and ascends to Meshar with a view of Mt Annapurna and Mt Annapurna Fang right in front. These giants will accompany you till Isharu, while the trail to Isharu is uphill with the sceneries of even more Himalayan range that includes Mt Annapurna II, Mt Annapurna IV, and Mt Ganesha Himal.

With some ascent and descent, you reach Dobato and then to Muldhai. From Muldhai, ascend till you reach a junction offering yet another mesmerizing view of the Annapurna range. The trail to the right leads to the hidden lake and the one to the left goes to Khopra Danda. Evening, enjoy the mesmerizing view of the sunset over the Himalayas that is simply breathtaking.

Early morning, enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunrise over the Himalayas.

After some pleasantry time, enjoy breakfast and begin trekking down to Swanta. Through steep and narrow downhill, make your way carefully downhill from the barren ridge of Khopra Dhanda. Once you reach the treeline, the trail steeply down ends. The path then descends gradually to Upper Chistibang.

Continue your way downhill through greener vegetation to the bottom of the hill, where you pass a small river. You will meet a small hydropower station. You make your way gradually uphill to Swanta.

After breakfast, walk downhill through a peaceful forested area along the narrow path till you meet a suspension bridge.

Once you cross the suspension bridge, the trail leads uphill through a small forest section, and then to Phalate. You can see Swanta village across the hill with Mt. Dhaulagiri in the background.

Through some farmlands, small traditional houses, and small forest trails, you will reach Ghorepani, a famous village within the Annapurna Trail.

Start early before sunrise and hike for about half an hour to reach Poonhill. Poonhill provides one of the best sunrise views over the Himalayas of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and Singa Chuli. Enjoy a Masala Tea or Coffee as you witness the majestic view.

Later return to Ghorepani for breakfast, and continue your journey to Birenthati.

The trail to Birenthatiis downhill through a stone paved staircase. Along the way, you will pass the mesmerizing village with traditional lodges in Nangethanti, Banthanti with a view of small waterfalls.  From Banthanti, the trails lead to a steep downhill till Ulleri consisting of approx. 3,200 steeps. Then gradually make your way to Tikhedunga and cross a suspension bridge leading to Hille.

From Hille, walk on a seasonal road following Bhurungdi Khola to Birethanti.

From Birethanti, your trek ends and you will be transferred to Pokhara.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in to the hotel, where the remaining day is at leisure.
