From here, we'll stroll down the lovely Modi Khola River, passing through thick forests, terraced fields, and attractive Gurung settlements like Birethanti and Tikhedhunga.

The final journey to Ulleri is a bit of a hardship, with a steep climb of over stone steps—but the stunning views are well worth it. Once we get to Ulleri, we'll relax at a comfortable teahouse and enjoy the mountain hospitality.

After breakfast at Ulleri, we continue our trek through lush rhododendron and oak forests. Today's hike is filled with natural glory, with birds chirping, waterfalls falling, and distant views of snow-capped peaks poking through the woods.

As we progress, the chilly mountain air becomes crisper and the views more gratifying. After passing through small village such as Banthanti and Nangethanti, we arrive at Ghorepani, a lovely Magar village lying right below Poon Hill. The trail from Dovan to Deurali climbs gradually through serene forests and alongside the Modi Khola. Passing the Himalayan Hotel and Hinku Cave, you'll feel the air thinning as you approach Deurali. Stunning waterfalls and alpine views make this stretch both peaceful and scenic. Deurali, at 3,200 meters, offers a serene stop before entering the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Today, we'll be at Annapurna Base Camp, the world's tenth-highest mountain. From Deurali, we'll gently ascend through the riverbed before continuing up a rocky mountainous trail. Useful Information

Best Season for Annapurna Sanctuary Trek 12 Days

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek 12 Days Package is best experienced in the spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). These months offer consistent weather, bright skies, and magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks. Winter trekking is doable for skilled mountaineers, but heavy snow can block trails. During the monsoon season, routes become slick and hazardous, lowering visibility and increasing risk.

                          Trekking difficulty in Annapurna Sanctuary

In comparison to the conventional Annapurna Base Camp Trek, the 12-day Annapurna Sanctuary Trek in Nepal is demanding. Trekking is really demanding because you must hike for over 6-7 hours per day. The trail contains various uphill and downhill stretches that require trekkers to use their whole physical stamina. Furthermore, the trekking path entails long periods of walking at high altitudes with low oxygen levels. The route is lower in height than the Everest Base Camp Trek route, but the challenging trekking courses make it more difficult. Don't underestimate this trekking track; it's really tiring. As a result, before embarking on the Annapurna Sanctuary trekking trail, you should physically prepare.

Do some workouts to increase your stamina. It is unusual to complete a 16-day course in only 12 days. It requires strong physical power. Only attempt this journey if you are in excellent physical condition. If not, book our usual trekking trip to the foothills of Mt. Annapurna, the world's tenth-highest peak.

Required Permits for Annapurna Sanctuary Trek

Two trekking permits are required to complete the 12-day Annapurna Sanctuary Trek in Nepal. They are the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Permit, the Trekker's Information Management System (TIMS) Permit. In rare situations, rural municipality permits are not mandatory. It is determined by the course of your hike. ACAP permits costs 3000 NPR. And TIMS Permit costs 2000 NPR as per the rules of the Nepal Government.

Guides and Porters during the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek

Mount Glory Treks is one of the best trekking companies with a decade of experience, Sherpa guides, and Porters. For the 12-day Annapurna Sanctuary trek in Nepal, we will provide one guide for a group of 8 members. If the group size is more than 8 Packs, we will provide assistance from Sherpa guides.

Porter services are not included in our 12-day itinerary, but we highly recommend HIRING a PORTER. One porter will carry a maximum of 25 kg, and one porter for 2 trekkers. We can provide you with a porter service upon your request at an additional cost. You can check the porter services on our reserve now button, where you can find out about our add-on services.

How much should I tip my Guides and Porter?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is expected. A trekking guide earns roughly $25 to $30 per day, whereas a porter earns between $15 and $20 per day. Therefore, these trekking crew members depend upon the generosity of their trekking guests. Set aside at least 10% of the travel cost as a tip. Mount Glory Treks will recommend tipping both guides and porters as per your interest.

                          Accommodation

Due to limits within the Annapurna Sanctuary, accommodation for the hike is mixed. Most tea shops sell beds rather than rooms, therefore, accommodation in some areas might be rather small, accommodating 4-6 people. Bedrooms are small, and I suggest you carry your own sleeping bags, which help you stay warm while sleeping. Bedrooms are often accessed from the outside, and locks and keys are provided. Charging facilities are available in the room. But toilets are not attached to the bedroom. You may walk a little farther from your room to get to it.

                          Food

As you might expect, the food available on the hiking trails, at the tea houses, and local cafes is different from the experience you're likely to have in Kathmandu or Pokhara. If you have dietary requirements, travelling to a country like Nepal can be daunting, but it's not impossible! As per your requirements, we can arrange the food. Most of the trekking routes' Tea Houses offer authentic Nepali food, including Dal Bhat, noodles, Momo, and many other dishes according to their menu.

                          Wi-Fi and Charging

During the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, you have access to the internet and a charging facility. Some tea houses may charge certain amounts for using the internet and the charging facility. So, carry a certain amount of Nepali Rupees for those services.
